Eudora v5.x (PC) - Account Setup
If you're having difficulty setting up your email account with Eudora version 5, follow these instructions:
The following example is illustrated using Eudora v5.2.1.
Select Tools...Options
This will bring up the following window:
Fill in the following information
| Real Name | Your name goes here (e.g. Joe Smith) |
| Return address | Your email address is username@yourdomain.com |
| Mail Server (Incoming) | Your POP3 server is mail.deepskytech.com |
| Login Name | Your POP3 Account ID is username%yourdomain.com |
| SMTP Server (Outgoing) | Your SMTP Server is yourdomain.com |
Now click on the Checking Mail category to display the following:
Make sure that Never is selected under Secure Sockets when Receiving. Click on Incoming Mail to display the following:
Verify that Server Configuration is POP and click on Sending Mail in the box on the left:
Make sure that the settings match these above for Return Address, SMTP Server, and Allow Authentication, and set the option for Secure Sockets when Sending to Never.
Click on OK to save these settings.
You can now send and receive email with your Deep Sky account.
