Microsoft Outlook Express v4.x (PC) - Account Setup
If you're having difficulty setting up your Deep Sky email account with Microsoft Outlook Express version 4, follow these instructions.
* The following example does not accomodate using Deep Sky Technologies to send mail (SMTP)
To setup your client using Deep Sky as your SMTP server, contact us.
Select Tools...Accounts
Click on the account name to select it, and then press the Properties button to modify it.
This will bring up the following window:
Fill in the following information:
| Mail Account (optional) | You may enter a name for your account here |
| Name (optional) | You may enter your name (e.g. John Doe) in this field |
| Organization(optional) | You may enter your company or organization name in this field |
| Email Address | Your email address is username@yourdomain.com |
To continue setting up your account, click on the Servers tab.
Fill in the following information:
| Outgoing Mail (SMTP) | Your SMTP server is yourdomain.com. |
| Incoming Mail (POP3) | Your POP3 Server is mail.deepskytech.com |
| Account Name | Your POP3 account ID is username%yourdomain.com |
| Password | Your password is personally given to you |
When finished entering information, press the OK button to finalize these settings. You may now send and receive mail.
