Our short story...
We got tired of calling NetSol/VeriSign to fix their stupid domain issues when renewing domains or, especially, when transferring domains away from them (to another registrar). They kept tossing up more and more roadblocks to our doing our jobs and supporting our clients. Much of the time, they gave excuses of problems in their systems or problems on the Internet which caused the delays, hassles, etc., that so many have experienced with NetSol/Verisign.
So, we decided to just invoice them for our wasted time in dealing with their stupidity. Every time we call, we tell them that we are calling on a support issue that we have confirmed exists in their systems/procedures, and that we will be charging them for the time on the support call and all the time we have spent and will spend identifying and solving the issue. Of course, we call them on their 800 number, are extremely courteous, and don't mind when they put us on hold (heck, we are getting paid and the call is on their dime [quarter, I am getting old]).
Believe it or not, they pay the invoices. The enclosed documents are the first invoice we sent and the first payment we received from them for it.
